Thursday November 5, 2026 12:45pm - 1:30pm EST
Traditional note-taking often falls short in skills-based health education.

When students are asked to copy definitions or slides, they may “complete” notes—but they rarely
develop the decision-making, reflection, and application skills health education is designed to teach.
In this session, participants will explore how guided, interactive note-taking can support skills-based

move beyond passive recording to become an active learning experience that builds essential National
Health Education Standards skills. Participants will experience sample note-taking activities the skills-
based way.
