About me
A life-long tennis player growing up in Wisconsin, he’s spent over 25 years involved in Central Indiana tennis. Played his college tennis at the University of Evansville, and coached collegiately at both Butler and IUPUI, where he won nine Conference Championships, made six trips to the NCAA tournament, and won six Conference Coach of the Year awards. He served on the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Regional Committee with Craig Tiley (USTA CEO) and was Chair of the NCAA Championships Committee for four years overseeing the first ever combined men’s and women’s championship at Stanford.
Locally he was Director of Racquet Sports at the Jewish Community Center for eight years where players such as Alex Antonopoulos, Marquis Willingham, and Anthony Suscha got their start. He coached a JTT 10u team to the Midwest Championship and coached the 18u girls at the Midwest Team Cup.
His current role at USTA Central Indiana centers around forming partnerships between the USTA and community groups, schools, and clubs to promote growth in the game by providing resources to providers and removing barriers to participation.
